Happy Mosel

Updated to add: Yes, I did fall once. I was trying to hop a curb, and I totally bit it. And, because I'm so considerate of others, I yelped rather loudly as I started to fall so everyone could turn around and look at me. Aren't I nice?

Last weekend was Happy Mosel, which marked the N's one year anniversary in Germany (or approximately one year). I can't think of a better way to celebrate springtime than to hop on bikes and pedal down the Mosel River with friends, stopping many times to eat bratwurst and drink local wines. My favorite was this guy, who was providing the music at our first stop.

The roads shut down and were filled with families on bikes and rollerblades. The vineyards are beginning to hang with grapes, and the May poles were still up. Each village puts on its best show for visitors, and things couldn't have been more lovely. I hade a great time!
