Can Anyone Explain This?

Our town's church rings its bells (from what I can tell) almost every hour during the day. But yesterday, at one in the afternoon, the bells rang for at least a few minutes. Not just one ding. Perhaps it rang 13 times, for 1300? I don't get it. And they ring like crazy at 7:30 pm every night. This is helpful, because it's usually around dinner time and if I haven't started to plan what to eat (you mean I can't have Cheerios every night for dinner?), I usually get in gear when I hear the bells.

But really- anyone know the significance of 7:30, or is it a Bruch thing?
